I designed this project in my Typography class at Columbia College Chicago. I had to choose a social issue that is local or global. I chose gentrification in Chicago because I have family members who are affected by it and it's a serious issue to me. This was a printed out informational brochure that was quite big at 9.5 x 15 inches. For my background images I chose to make them grayscale for the reader to focus on the typography more. The colors I chose was yellow, orange, and oval. This color palette worked very well together digitally and the printed version. I also used. a 4 column grid. This project improved my typography and publication skills as a graphic designer.
